Linnea Wilkerson

Linnea Wilkerson currently serves the CHS family as a  teacher in the STARs (Student Aid and Resource) Program.  After graduating from Xavier University in New Orleans (her dream college only 60 miles from where she grew up in Mississippi), she has taught for a total of 30 years; the last ten years here at CHS.

During those college summers she worked with Naval Oceanographic Office, located at John C. Stennis Space Center in Southern Mississippi.

During the ‘stay at home’ mandate she has kept busy reading Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life, John C. Maxwell’s The Invaluable Laws of Growth, Gary Chapman’s 5 Love Languages and T.D. Jakes’ Let it Go.  Whew!  That’s quite a reading list!  Also during this ‘stay at home’ time, she has been pleasantly surprised by her 21 year old son, Isaac's cooking abilities.  He came home for Spring Break and like all the other college students didn’t go back to school.  He has been cooking tasty and healthy meals at least twice a week.

Linnea likes to collect giraffes, having about 50 collectibles in various types and sizes.  She also has an affinity for monster trucks.  She grew up with two brothers, one who is a mechanic now, and is fascinated by these trucks!  Her favorite color is blue for it’s calm and peaceful nature.  Blue represents important areas of her life: faith, trust and wisdom.  We are glad to have her as part of the excellent teaching staff that works with our students.
