Alumni Letter by Caleb Riemer
From my years at Concordia High School (CHS), I not only received a primary education but a chance to compete athletically with and against fine athletes. I am now playing basketball at Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) in Waxahachie. Hard work, practice, the challenges posed by CHS, and more practice, definitely got me where I am today. I learned so much from Coach Jon Telschow and Coach Mike Doering. I have to give all the credit to them. They found ways not only to coach us, but to challenge and teach us, as well. They invested time in us and loved us as individuals. At CHS we were not told by the teachers, coaches, and administrators how to have a good work ethic...we were shown.Continuing in God's mighty footsteps,Caleb Riemer (class of 2007)

I have been truly blessed with an excellent education coming from Concordia High School. To some, they believe that coming from such a small school may limit the opportunities presented in not only the academic fields but as well as in the athletic. Through my experiences, I can honestly say that this misconception is quite the contrary. Through the efforts of Coach Carlove and Coach Croston, my name and stats were sent to some Universities. Concordia University Wisconsin was the first to contact me. Through email and two or three visits I made my decision. Like my esteemed colleague Caleb Taylor stated...the rest is history. I earned a starting position the last half of the season and have been named to the Conference's All-Rookie team. Through the seasons to come, I hope to make more of an impact and represent Concordia High School boldly.

Concordia High School has provided me with an exemplary education to further pursue my college caer. Having received academic scholarships I too was eligible to receive athletic scholarships (for Baseball). Coach Jeremy Geidel (CUNE), head Baseball Coach, observed one of my summer games after my Junior year. I was then offered a baseball as well as booster scholarship for Baseball. Coach Geidel said that I was his #1 recruit for the upcoming year (2007-2008). The rest is...HISTORY! I am now pursuing my first year at Concordia University, Seward, NE. I look forward to completing my education from this fine University as well as, completing many great BASEBALL seasons while I am here and Concordia High School is where it all began, thanks Coach Doering.
